About Us
Hey there! I’m Jon and It’s safe to say that I’ve had a passion for filmmaking for most of my life. From a very young age, me and my friends were making movies with my parents camcorder. I then took my passion for video to Columbia College Chicago, where I graduated with a degree in Film + Video Editing.
When I’m not behind the camera at a wedding, you can find me behind the camera shooting some incredible homes for my real estate video company Sixth and Maple. I also run a vintage photo booth business called Photique (more on that later). What can I say, I love being an entrepreneur.
After nearly two decades in the great city of Chicago, I started a family in the historic suburb of La Grange, IL. I have two incredible young girls who mean the world to me and who knows, maybe this is the year me and their mother finally find the time to have a wedding of our own!
Over the past 12 years, I’ve been lucky enough to work as a professional wedding videographer, documenting nearly 350 incredible couples big day and, hopefully, I’ll be lucky enough to tell your story next!

Yes, please! Plan A has shot weddings in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Mexico. We love to travel and are more than happy to offer very reasonable travel rates.

Every video produced by Plan A is personally shot by owner and lead cinematographer Jon Romashko. When the package calls for it, other members of the Plan A team film as well, but Jon shoots every wedding. He also edits them!

Of course! Let us know what you're thinking and we can customize a package that suits your needs and budget.

Yes and no. For our Trailer and Highlight Packages, we ask you for a list of song choices you would like to see used in the video. For the Short Film Package, we choose an instrumental song that we find goes best with the footage.

Films are edited and presented online to the couple within 60 days of the wedding day, sometimes sooner.

If we have your date available, we require a 50% deposit and signed contract to officially reserve the date. The other 50% is due 14 days prior to the event.
Add-Ons
In addition to wedding videography services, Plan A is thrilled to provide all of our couples some add-on options. Vintage Photo Booth and Audio Guestbook rentals from our sister company Photique can both be easily added to any video package (or booked separately if the video thing doesn’t work out). Take advantage of one or both of these add-ons when booking us for videography, and receive a special discount on each.
AUDIO GUESTBOOK
Audio Guestbooks are a fun and interactive alternative (or addition) to the traditional guestbook, where you capture unfiltered and beautifully authentic messages from our vintage-style rotary phones.
VINTAGE PHOTO BOOTH
Photique’s custom-built large format cameras combine both the vintage feel of an old camera with the modern technology available today. An absolute show stopper that will have your guests talking long after the big day is over.
